Southern valley half day

The tour begins at 09:00 am. By picking up the clients from their respective hotels, towards the archaeological complex of Tipón, where we will walk through what was considered the royal gardens in Inca times, due to the magnificence of its terraces and ceremonial fountains, which attest the great hydraulic management the Incas had. Later, we will continue towards the citadel of Pikillacta, which stands for ‘Town of the Fleas’ in Quechua language. This is the only pre-Inca city made by the Wari, in their imperial expansion, where can be observed even two-story adobe buildings and with evidence of the use of plaster as coating material in religious constructions.

Continuing our tour, we will visit the Chapel of San Pedro in Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of Peru due to the beauty of their religious works of art from the XVII and XVIII centuries exhibited in their murals and paintings, as well as the fabulous paneling of the dome of this chapel, as well as the penta-lingual big door in the baptismal room.

Finally, as an option, we can taste the Molle Chicha, energizing beverage due to the energetic and anti-inflammatory attributes of the Molle. (Schinus molle)
