The tour will start at 8:30 am. By picking up our clients from their respective hotels to then set out our route on the Cusco – Urubamba road, beginning the tour in Chinchero, where we will see the beauty of the town and its archaeological complex.
We can also participate in a brief explanation on the typical and traditional textiles of the community, well-known for the beauty and high quality of their textiles, and their ancestral dyeing techniques. Later, we will head towards Moray, where there is an impressive view from their colossal concentric terraces which resemble a great amphitheater.
Its purpose was to generate 20 different kinds of microclimates which guaranteed the agricultural productivity of the Inca Empire. Then we will go to the Town of Maras, which is a typical Hispanic town, still with a straight streets layout, a colonial Plaza, a great number of buildings, many houses in which still can be seen the old lintels and armors at the gates. There are also salt mines from colonial times. The contrast between its white wells and the greenery of the valley is astounding, and perfect for an unforgettable photo of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Finally, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, where our private transport will await to bring us back to the city of Cusco, arriving approximately at 2:00 or 3:00 pm.
You must have the tourist ticket to enter Moray. The tourist ticket is currently 70 soles for a one day ticket or 130 soles for a 10 day ticket. This one ticket will give you access to many other locations in the Sacred Valley, as well as some museums and places of interest in Cusco. Maras is a separate ticket of 10 soles.
