The tour starts at 13:00 hrs. On picking up the passengers from their respective hotels, afterwards we head towards the Plaza de Armas beginning with the visit of the Cathedral of Cusco (optional) where works of religious art from the Cusquenian School of painting from the centuries XVII and XVIII are exhibited, then we go to the Inca temple of Qoricancha.
QORICANCHA. – Here we can visit the Temples of the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, and a solar half-rotunda, then we continue with the tour going to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman.
SACSAYHUAMAN. – Here we will see the megalithic constructions that were thought to be military buildings.
QENQO. – Which in Quechua language means labyrinth, is an astronomic observatory where every June 21st can be observed the winter solstice as well as the ‘awakening of the Puma’.
PUCA PUKARA. – Or Red Fortress, it was a military checkpoint for the pilgrims from the Antisuyo who came to the sacred city of Cusco.
TAMBOMACHAY. – In old times a water cult and purification center.
